READ: Gov. Imee Marcos at nobyong si Mark Chua, posibleng maharap sa patung-patong na kaso

Hindi pa man natatapos ang imbestigasyon ng House Commitee on Good Government and Public Accountability sa isyu ng paggamit ng excise tax ng lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, nakitaan na ng komite na may anomalya sa pagbili ng higit sa isang daang sasakyan sa Ilocos Norte para umano sa mga magsasaka noong 2011 hanggang 2012.

Dahil dito, irirekomenda ng komite sa masampahan ng patung-patong na kaso si Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos at ang iba pang sangkot na mga opisyal.

Kabilang sa mga kasong haharapin nina Gov. Imee Marcos ay ang paglabag sa R.A. 7171 o (Share of Excise Tax from Tobacco), R.A. 9184 o Procurement Law, paglabag sa COA circular tungkol sa paggamit ng cash advance at kasong plunder.

“We have already established [that] there were really indeed anomalies of purchase of vehicles. Province of Ilocos Norte purchased vehicles and from [the] data we gathered, this transaction already violated R.A. 7171, violation of R.A. 9184 [and] violation of COA Memo Circular 97-002,” sabi ni Rep. Johnny Pimentel, ang chairman ng komite.

Lumabas daw sa pagdinig na pumirma si Gov. Imee Marcos sa lahat ng transaksiyon.

“All transactions bares the signature of Gov. Imee Marcos. Lahat ng transaction, contract, vouchers, MOA, bares the signature of Imee Marcos. She is the most responsible in all [of] these transactions,” giit ni Pimentel.

Sabit din sa transaksyon sa pagbili ng multicabs ang umano’y long time boyfriend ni Imee Marcos na si Mark Chua. Kaya naman nag-isyu na ang komite ng show cause order laban kay Chua, sa sekretarya nitong si Irene Mendoza at ang supplier ng multicab na si Gilbert Soribas.

“We were also able to establish that the boyfriend, the long time boyfriend of Governor Imee Marcos was involved in the transactions,” sabi ni Pimentel.

“We have already issued a subpoena for him unfortunately he did not appear. We issued a show cause order to him and again he did not appear… so we will be citing him for contempt… a warrant of arrest will be issued to him including his secretary, Irene Mendoza,” dagdag pa ni Pimentel

Nakita rin ng komite na nag-overprice ang munisipyo ng Ilocos Norte ng higit P22-M.

Bukod sa anomalya sa pagbili ng mga sasakyan ay natuklasan din daw nila na may anomalya rin umano sa pagbili ng mga gamot at fertilizer.

Sakaling hindi pa rin daw pumunta o sumipot sa susunod na pagdinig si Mark Chua ay mag lalabas na warrant of arrest ang komite.
