Leaked: Victor Corpuz reveals CPP and NPA was behind Plaza Miranda Bombing

The Plaza Miranda Bombing during the miting de avance of the Liberal Party (LP) back in August 21, 1971 was revealed to have been masterminded by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the National People’s Army (NPA) contrary to claims that it had been their election rival that time, Nacionalista Party.

In an interview with Victor Corpus, he divulged the discussions the revolutionaries had with Jose Marie Sison, CPP Founder, and how he was creating the ideological basis for their causes and movements.

Sison looked at both LP and Nacionalista as parties of the elite class, the class that revolutionaries are against. He had intended for bad blood to erupt between the two rival parties.

The Liberal Party and the Nacionalista party are like the two sides of the same coin, they are both parties of the elite, they are both parties of the ruling class, our enemy class, so kung paawayin natin to it will benefit the revolution as a whole,

” Corpus said as he recalled Sison’s words.

The miting de avance of the LP at the Plaza Miranda was part of the scheme to make the two parties blame and hate each other.

The Liberal Party will accuse the Nacionalista. Nacionalista naman will adopt repressive measures against the Communist Party because tayong ibablame nyan. The greater the repression, the greater the resistance, yun yung magke-create ng revolutionary leap in the process of historical development,” Corpus revealed.

The CPP and NPA devised these ploys with an intention to make their “ small movement ” create a “ revolutionary tide
