TIME NEWS | Panawagan ni Drilon na parusahan ang mga nagsusulong ng #RevGov, binara ng isang abugado

Lawyer and staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte took to social media to slam the recent suggestion of opposition Senator Franklin Drilon that all allies of the President pushing for a revolutionary government should be punished as it is considered an illegal act.

In his Facebook post, Atty. Bruce Rivera challenged the Senator to try looking for a huge jail facility that could fit all the Duterte supporter who went to the streets to express their support to the President’s plan of declaring a revolutionary government.
“If you want to us to be punished just because we are calling for the President to declare a revolutionary government or call for a referendum on that matter, then imprison the millions all over the Philippines who called for it outside the streets, inside their homes and in social media. Tingnan lang natin kung makakahanap ka ng kulungan na kasya kami,” he wrote.
He then went to literally compare Drilon to pork barrel minus the barrel, “Just because the organizers called it RevGov means it is a rebellion and thus, illegal. You called the fund scam “Pork Barrel” and we did not see you in barrel.”
Rivera emphasized that the thousands of people calling for the revolutionary government did not commit any threat against the country’s safety and did not even inflict violence.
The lawyer then spins the ball back to Drilon saying that a criminal act is the recent controversy involving the mass distribution of dengue vaccine which was implemented by the Aquino administration.
“What is criminal is being complicit in allowing a potentially harmful dengue vaccine to be given to our children without requiring further testing on the medicine,” Rivera said.

“The past administration who made it happen has blood in their hands and yours as well,” he added.
Rivera then explained that a President like Duterte only comes once in a lifetime so the people are clamoring for him to enact the change they wanted to see for their future children to live in.
“Sir, we are trying to build a better nation for our children and putting our hope on our last chance.. We produce uninspiring Senators like you every election, those who look good in paper and are as useless as toilet paper. And you breed like rabbits,” he continued.
“Duterte comes once in a lifetime so allow us the malady of great expectations. We did expect something from you before and you just became fat and narcoleptic. So we just let you dose off,” Rivera said.
In the end, he suggested that Drilon should instead focus on crafting a good response to the millions of people who will surely file criminal charges against them for the lives of thousands of children whose life might be in danger for developing higher risk dengue fever.

Yesterday, Drilon and other Senators who are a member of the Liberal Party challenged Duterte to be accountable on their supporters calling for revolutionary government.

“Alam nila na ito’y bawal sa ating Saligang-Batas ngunit hinayaan lang nila dahil pawang mga kaalyado nila ang nasa likod nito,” Drilon said.
