DEAD CITY | Duterte: 10 years from now, we should close Manila

Naniniwala si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na paglipas ng 25 taon, nabubulok na siyudad na ang Maynila

“Manila, I think, in about 25 years will be a dead city.  It will start to decay and there is no way that we can rehab the place,” sabi ni Duterte.

Sa kanyang speech sa Clark, Pampanga, sinabi niyang imposible nang buhayin pa ang Ilog Pasig.

“First of all, we do not have the sewer and sewerage.  Sabi ko, you cannot rehabilitate the place.  You have to baklasin mo ang Maynila to do that and there is no more time and space for all of you who want to do something about it.  You have to disperse the crowd,” sabi ni Duterte.

Naiisip ni Duterte na dapat ipasara ang Maynila paglipas ng 10 taon at itigil ang mga factory.

“Limit the factories at some time in the future but not really mine for that would be too early but 10 years from now, we should close Manila and start to develop unless we’re able with something very similar to Clark.  Mahihirapan tayo,” sabi ni Duterte.

“Manila is no longer an option for industries.  They have to go to the provinces,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.

Ang pinakamahalagang dapat daw maayos ngayon para kay Duterte ay ang mass transport system para mas madaling makabiyahe ang mga mamamayan.

“The most important thing is there has to be a transport whether mass or if there are too many cars, then you have to expand the highways.  But I think the most practical thing to do is the mass transport system,” sabi ni Duterte.
