How to move on after a breakup: 5 tips from Joyce Pring

Kapuso star Joyce Pring is here to rescue people who are struggling to move on!
How do you even start, right? If life had an FAQ, this would probably be on the top list, as letting go of someone you used to care about is a truly Herculean task.
Time to rip that Band-Aid off, Kapuso! Joyce has shared 5 steps on how to successfully move on from someone in a special video for GMA Network.
Here's a rundown of Joyce's tips.
#1. Remember your value

Someone usually forgets about their own importance once a relationship fails. Don't forget that there are people who love and value you, like your friends and family. "God loves you, so always remember your value as a person," Joyce said.
#2. Travel and get busy

It doesn't have to be expensive or too far away! Exploring new things and unusual cities, getting to know new people, and just going out of your comfort zone can definitely help you enjoy your time without having to splurge. Try a new sport or make new friends!
#3. Self-improvement

Instead of sulking in the corner and crying over what's gone and done, another tip from Joyce is to work on ways to improve yourself. Whether it's learning a new skill or reading a new book, just do something you've been wanting to but haven't had the chance to do. It's your time to shine and detach yourself from the past. Joyce shared: "Kailangan mong iimprove 'yong sarili mo, read new books, study something new or acquire a new hobby, so 'pag inimprove mo 'yong sarili mo, you'll start not to look at the person anymore and makakapagmove on ka na madedetach mo na 'yung identity mo from that person to just being on your own."
#4. Allot time for yourself

Go ahead and "Treat yo self!" Going on dates with yourself is a thing and it's healthy to do once in a while. Go watch a movie alone, go on a dinner date by yourself...you can do "Netflix and chill" on your own, you know!
#5. Surround yourself with love

During these sensitive moments of your life, make sure you are surrounded with the people you love and people who loves you, spend more quality time with your family and your friends. It's cliche but it works. "Surround yourself with people or things who love you and who you love and I think at the end of the day whatever you go through 'pag alam mo na may mga tao na mahal ka at mahal mo 'yon 'yong pinaka-importante," Joyce said.
